A Light Within

Alyssa is a wonderful friend and colleague of mine. She needed an original score for her final senior capstone project and decided to commission one. It was an absolute pleasure working with her to make this animation a reality.

Program Notes

A Light Within is a story about finding yourself heavily inspired by Filipino and Japanese culture and folklore. Isabela finds herself lost in a strange forest as an allawig enchants her with evil energy, but a butterfly spirit saves her from this magic, illuminating the forest. Accompanied by an original score, this animation is mysterious, chilling, and hopeful.
